Why Am I Still Here? Why am I still in the church, when so many of my friends from school are not? It’s a question worth asking. Every person’s story is different, but when I look back, one thing stands out: I stayed because of influence — people who lived out their faith in front of me, and invited me into it.
Leviticus 25 introduces us to the concept of the Jubilee year. After seven cycles of seven Sabbath years, the fiftieth year was designated as a time to "proclaim freedom throughout the land for all who live there." This Jubilee year was a sacred time, a reset for the nation of Israel.
As a Christian church, we are a faith community grounded in the teachings of the Bible. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is our guide for living a fulfilling lifestyle.
